A colossal python, estimated to be between 12 to 14 feet long, created ruckus as it entered a cloth shop in Meerut's crowded Lalkurti Peeth market on Tuesday evenng. The incident took place at Rama Suits, sending shop patrons into a frenzy.
A video capturing the massive reptile coiled on a cloth rack quickly went viral on social media, depicting the chaos that ensued as the shop owner and employees hastily vacated the premises upon the unwelcome discovery.
Prompt action ensued as the shop owner alerted the local forest department, who, after a strenuous effort, successfully captured the python. Speculation surrounds the snake's origin, with reports suggesting it may have traversed from the nearby Abu Nala.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the forest department later released the python back into the wild. The incident has left many residents and market-goers astonished, raising questions about wildlife encounters in urban spaces.
